These terms govern the SMS (text message) program operated by Action Karate through its booking platform. By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to the terms below.
Program Description
Action Karate sends text messages to clients who have created an account and consented to receive them. Messages include class booking confirmations, class reminders, failed-payment notices, and — for clients who separately opt in — occasional promotions about classes and memberships.
How You Opt In
You opt in when you create an account with Action Karate to book classes. Account creation starts with your email address. After you verify that email address, you complete the account details form, where you enter your mobile number and are presented with two separate checkboxes, both unchecked by default and optional: one for booking confirmations and reminders, and one for promotional messages. Each checkbox has its own consent disclosure, and neither affects the other. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
Message Frequency & Cost
Message frequency varies (approximately 2–20 messages per month). Message and data rates may apply.
How to Opt Out or Get Help
- Reply STOP to unsubscribe from all messages at any time.
- Reply STOPMKT to stop promotional messages only.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact Action Karate directly.
Your Privacy — No Sharing of Your Mobile Information
No mobile information or messaging consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not share, sell, or rent your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in or consent information to any third party for their own marketing. Mobile opt-in data is used solely to deliver the messages described above.
Information We Collect
- Your name, email address, mobile phone number, and date of birth.
- Your booking, attendance, and purchase history.
- Payment information, handled by our payment processor — we do not store card numbers.
- Your communication preferences, including whether you consented to receive text messages and whether you separately opted in to promotional messages.
How We Use It
- To create and administer your account.
- To book you into classes and process payments.
- To send you booking confirmations, class reminders, account updates, and failed-payment notices.
- To send promotional messages about classes and memberships — only if you separately opted in.
Who We Share Information With
We share information only with service providers who help operate the service — payment processing, messaging delivery, email delivery, and hosting — and only as needed to perform that work. We also share information where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for legitimate business purposes such as tax, accounting, and dispute resolution.
Your Choices
- Update your contact details and communication preferences in your account settings.
- Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting Action Karate.
