Thank you for visiting Action Karate (hereinafter known as “Provider,” “us” or “we”), which is otherwise known as actionkarate.net (the “Site”). To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and committed to developing technology that gives you the most powerful and secure online experience.
Billing and personal information is encrypted whenever transmitted or received online. Personal information is accessible only to staff, agents, or contractors of Provider. This privacy statement applies to all Provider-owned web sites and domains. This privacy statement covers personally identifiable information, anonymous data collection and aggregate reporting. Personally identifiable information is any information that is associated with your name or personal identity.
What We Collect
During a Login, Registration, or Checkout process, the types of personal information you provide to us may include, but are not limited to, name, address, phone, fax, email address, license number, date of birth, username and password, billing information, transaction, and credit card information. Other information we may collect includes third party affiliates or partnerships, or customer service inquiry information.
When you browse our web site, you do so anonymously. We may log your IP address (the Internet address of your computer) to give us an idea of which part of our web site you visit and how long you spend there. But we will not link your IP address to any personal information unless you have logged in to our web site. Like many other commercial web sites, the Provider web site may use a standard technology called a “cookie” to collect information about how you use the site.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies
This site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to understand how visitors use the site, measure the effectiveness of our advertising, and improve your experience. Below is a summary of the tools we use and what they collect.
Google Tag Manager (GTM)
We use Google Tag Manager to manage and deploy the tracking tools listed below. GTM itself does not collect personal information — it acts as a container that loads other tools based on our configuration.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with the site — which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and where traffic comes from. GA4 collects anonymized usage data including pages viewed, session duration, device type, browser, approximate location (city level), and traffic source. Data is processed by Google. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Meta (Facebook) Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. The Pixel collects information about your activity on this site — such as pages visited and actions taken (e.g., form submissions) — and sends it to Meta to help us deliver more relevant ads and measure campaign performance. You can manage your Meta ad preferences at Meta Ad Preferences or opt out through the Digital Advertising Alliance.
Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with the site through heatmaps and session recordings. Clarity may record mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and page interactions. Clarity does not collect personal information such as names, emails, or passwords — form inputs are automatically masked in recordings. Data is processed by Microsoft. For more information, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Yandex Metrica
We use Yandex Metrica for additional site analytics, including traffic analysis and user behavior tracking. Yandex Metrica may collect anonymized data such as pages visited, session duration, device and browser information, and approximate location. For more information, see the Yandex Privacy Policy.
Your Cookie Choices
Most web browsers allow you to manage cookie preferences through their settings. You can choose to block or delete cookies, though this may affect your experience on the site. You can also opt out of specific tools using the links provided above.
Who We Share It With
We never sell or rent your personal information. Provider may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law (for example, a subpoena) or regulation, or in good faith to (a) comply with legal processes served on the site, or (b) protect the rights and property of Provider, or (c) where our records indicate fraudulent activity or other deceptive practices that a governmental agency should be made aware of, or (d) where your communication suggests possible harm to others.
Provider may transfer information about Users if Provider is acquired by or merged with another company. Provider is not responsible for notifying User of such changes.
Provider may share some of your information with Campaigns (as that term is defined in the Basic Terms of Use) for the purpose of allowing the User to receive premium benefits or recognition that may be offered by Campaigns on this Site.
Provider will not share your information with third parties without your permission, other than what is mentioned in this Privacy Policy. It will only be used for the purposes stated above. We use personal information to reply to inquiries, handle complaints, provide operational notices, keep records up to date to notify you via periodic e-mails of technical service issues, specials, or other related product/service information. Your information may be shared with agents or contractors of Provider for the purpose of performing service for Provider.
Internet Commerce
The online registration at Provider is designed to give you options concerning the privacy of your credit card information, name, address, e-mail and any other information you provide us. Provider is committed to data security with respect to information collected on our site. We offer the industry standard security measures available through your browser called SSL encryption.
Security of Your Personal Information
Provider strictly protects the security of your personal information. We carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Your personal information is never shared outside the company without your permission, except as stated herein. Inside the company, data is stored in password-controlled servers with limited access.
You also have a significant role in protecting your information. No one can see or edit your personal information without knowing your username and password, so do not share these with others.
We use SSL encryption when collecting or transferring sensitive data such as credit card and personal information. Credit card numbers are only used for processing payment and are not used for other purposes. Our efforts to protect credit card fraud help protect your financial data security.
SMS & Text Message Communications
Action Karate uses the Recess platform to manage class bookings and client accounts. When you create an account to book classes at any Action Karate location, you may be asked to provide your mobile phone number and may choose to opt in to receive text messages.
What messages we send
- Booking confirmations and class reminders
- Failed-payment notices and account updates
- Promotional messages about classes and memberships — only if you separately opted in
How you opt in
When you create an account with Action Karate to book classes, you begin with your email address. After verifying your email, you complete the account details form where you enter your mobile number. You are presented with two separate checkboxes, both unchecked by default and both optional: one for booking confirmations and reminders, and one for promotional messages. Each checkbox has its own consent disclosure, and neither affects the other. Consent is not a condition of creating an account or making any purchase.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies (approximately 2–20 messages per month). Message and data rates may apply.
How to opt out or get help
- Reply STOP to unsubscribe from all text messages at any time.
- Reply STOPMKT to stop promotional messages only while continuing to receive booking confirmations and reminders.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact Action Karate directly.
Your mobile privacy
No mobile information or messaging consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not share, sell, or rent your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in or consent information to any third party for their own marketing. Mobile opt-in data is used solely to deliver the messages described in this section.
Platform information
Action Karate operates its bookings and client accounts on the Recess platform, which processes your information on Action Karate’s behalf. Payment information is handled by our payment processor — we do not store card numbers. For details on how Recess processes data as a service provider, see the Recess platform privacy policy.
Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use information from children under 13 and we do not want it. We will take steps to delete it if we learn we have collected it. No part of Provider’s site is directed to children under the age of 13. If you learn that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at the link below. If we learn that we have collected any personal information from children under 13, we will promptly take steps to delete such information and terminate the child’s account.
