My son had a FANTASTIC birthday party here last weekend. A team of staff members welcomed each guest, planned an engaging karate lesson, cut and served pizza, and did a special samurai sword cake cutting with the birthday boy. It was a delight!

We came to Action Karate by way of their after school programs at my children’s school. The family friendly environment and consistent reinforcement of character and discipline have been wonderful. The staff is caring and knowledgeable. They provide opportunities for continued growth and they always celebrate the accomplishments of the students whether tots or adults. Not only has my son committed to the black belt process, my husband has as well! It is a wonderful community to be a part of.

Action Karate Mount Airy has been a phenomenal place for my son and I! Sensai Tim is an amazing leader. I leave learning so much after every class! He’s so patient with the kids and creates an environment where you want to be better. Sensai Jaiden and Sensai Dom have been so influential for Mateo and help him stay focused while holding him accountable. Every sensai and staff member gives Mateo the attention that he needs which allows me to be fully present when in my class. Not to mention it’s so much fun and creates a bonding experience with you and your child! I love doing karate with my son! Joining this Karate family is one of the best decisions I have ever made! I absolutely love this program for my son. He started at 3 and I hope he grows all the way to an adult level black belt! The staff know all the children’s names and even do lessons on resilience and discipline during the sessions. They offer so many classes and the virtual option is amazing when we can’t make it in person. I love that the Senseis are so kid friendly and not afraid to talk to kids individually if they need to. All the children and parents are nice and the environment is safe and fun! Get your kid in ASAP 😍

Action Karate is a great place for kids (and adults) to come train in a positive environment. I was looking for an activity for my youngest son and am glad I found Action Karate. He was nervous at first but after his introductory lesson, he was hooked. My son is now excited to go to as many classes as he can. The facilities are clean, spacious and it’s located just off Germantown Ave which makes getting there easy. The staff are kind and patient with the students, my son is in the under 7 age group and I know how difficult it can be to get them to focus at that age. The schedule during the week is pretty flexible. Overall, me and my son are totally happy with Action Karate and it’s community.

I have enrolled my grandson, who is eight years old in Action Karate Mount Airy. I have watched him progress in his pursuit of a black belt. Action karate Mt Airy has been a great experience for our son. He has been taking classes for 2 years now (started at age 5) and he has grown so much in his confidence and skill. This is because of the structure of the classes and the supportive instructors who make each individual child feel great about what they are learning and how they improve week to week. Not only are the kids able to have fun but they are being active and learning important lessons that build character such as respect, self control, integrity etc. Our child is learning how to be a leader while doing something he truly enjoys and the best part is seeing how proud he is of himself each time he learns a new combination or earns a new belt. We love Action Karate! Everyone should let their child try it out because it’s more than just an after school activity.

Best Karate Studio Ever! Ms B and her staff really cares about their student's overall well being. They are very welcoming to all backgrounds and cultures and are very dedicated and committed to seeing there students succeed in all areas of their lives. Our two kids started at AK Mt Airy three months ago and I am encouraged by the personal growth and enthusiasm they both show. My 3rd grader ago attends the after care program, which picks up at her school, provides physical activity and karate class each day, and is FUN for her. My preschooler is excited to learn new things, achieve goals on his own, and enjoys the challenges of the new to him movements. I highly recommend Action Karate Mt. Airy! The school has had a very positive impact on my family. In addition to the Karate and self-defense moves, I value the emphasis on mental focus, self discipline, and respect, among other character building qualities. I’ve been attending Action Karate Mt. Airy for almost four years now, and I can genuinely say I still look forward to being there a few times each and every week. This is a warm, open, kid-friendly space, where fun and enthusiasm is apparent the moment you walk in the door. We enrolled our daughter (7) into Karate classes with a friend of her’s at Action KarateMt Airy with the hopes of helping her improve her self-confidence. We also wanted to see her establish discipline and commitment as well as learn about setting goals and achieving them through hard work and dedication.The Sensei’s at Action Karate have been wonderful in helping our daughter reach those goals in a very fun and engaging way. Everyone please pay attention, gonna make this quick.My experience with this place has been and is AWESOME now. The people here are very welcoming when you enter and knowledgeable of everything they speak on.Wanted the kids to attend an activity and walked into Action karate, got started and now the whole family is here. My kids can't wait to get there and they don't want to leave, that's how much they enjoy it. "Hey kids Dad's hungry and ready ta eat" that's me talking - but hey, they're appetite is big too and they are feeding it by doing something positive they want to, being at AKMA.Life Changing !!!! All Positive!!!! Improvements like successful thinking, confidence, self defense, respect, manners,self control, and my list goes on, this is the positive affect and impact Action Karate has had on my family.They also work beyond excellent with special needs children. Going to Action Karate has been great for the kids - and for me! My oldest daughter improved her self-confidence and coordination. My youngest saw improved discipline and self-control. And I've been taking classes too. Even an out of shape 45 yo was welcome and I lost weight and improved my conditioning. The Action Karate Team has always made us feel welcome, never felt judgemental, but always pushed us and helped us get better. We're thrilled by our experience.
