At our classes, you will be able to learn traditional karate and its
techniques, which include some fitness-based exercises.
Although each of our locations offers a different schedule, you can join us for your training sessions six days a week during our flexible time slots. This means we can accommodate your time schedule as and when you need it.
When you join us for your first karate training session, you should simply wear loose and comfortable clothing that you can move around in. What’s more is that once you join, you will receive a uniform that is included in the $49 introductory special.
Our karate classes are perfect for all individuals of varying skill levels and who fall into practically any age group. We have students from as young as three and as old as 103, making this one of the most versatile ways to help you achieve your health and fitness goals as well as learning important life skills that will benefit you immensely in all areas of your life.

The Action Karate team has been great! My toddler started private lessons with Mr. Brandon winning a free session! We've stuck with it and I've noticed growth in him. Additionally, all of the staff is welcoming, friendly, and helpful.
We’ve only been there for about a month now and so far everything has been great. My kids really love the classes and are always excited for the next class. The instructors are great in trying to instill good morals and discipline for the kids. Ms. Lisa does a great job as an instructor and managing everything. She’ll personally text/call us to check in to see if we signed up for any upcoming classes.

I honestly can’t say enough how amazing action karate was not only for a class which they are so kind offer free trials! But my daughter’s 7th birthday party! She won it off her wheel at the fall festival and when I tell you they do not disappoint! From beginning to end it was wonderful so clean, so organized, loved Mrs. Lisa and her Top instructor who ran the whole birthday party! He was so sweet the children adored him! They had so much fun even the parents who came thanked me over and over for inviting them! I love how it’s just us your own party they made it all easy and so freaking affordable! They broke boards and wrote bad habits they wanted to change they had the parents engage with the game which I loved! Mrs. Lisa is so knowledgeable, patient, kind you can tell her heart is so in it! My daughter hasn’t stopped doing moves she learned since. As soon as we can get her to drop one activity we our enrolling her because even the lessons they instill in them got my heart! Also it’s such an easy to get to location especially those who live in Marlton totally recommend for birthday party! Worth it she even cut her cake with a Samurai sword! She also kept in contact with me the whole time til the party very personable. I really did have the best experience I have an almost 18 year old and have had parties at many places jump zones, indoor water parks this one was by far our favorite meaning my husband and I as well as the kids!

The reason I brought my son to action karate was to get him to give more confidence along with a better sense of discipline and they did just that. In just a short time I can see the difference and so much more to learn.
My son began practicing karate with Action Karate Voorhees about a month ago and really enjoys it! The teachers are very nice and supportive. They always find ways to engage and accommodate students, while providing supportive feedback. Lessons not only explore the art of karate, but also teach focus, respect, and discipline.
Both of my children, ages 7 and 3, love to come to Action Karate, w/Mr. Manny, Ms. Lisa, and all of the instructors. They work on physical fitness combined with learning the martial art moves, building confidence in their capabilities and lives! A true team and community experience. Love it!

Action Karate has been an amazing experience for my daughter. Not only does it get her off the iPad and teaching her new skills but the instructors are absolutely incredible themselves. My daughter struggled at first but Mr. Manny independently guided her through her struggles and now she’s enjoying learning karate. She’s enjoying it so much, I can’t stop her from practicing her new learned skills on me at home hahaha. Overall, Action Karate is a wonderful experience and we truly love the people and environment.

We signed up our son a month ago and we are already seeing the benefits of karate, especially at Action Karate with Mr. Manny and Miss Lisa! They both have made our family feel so welcome to the school. We absolutely recommend Action Karate!
We found action karate online and went for a free trial, then signed up that day because of a ‘sign on the spot’ deal. After the initial deal, the price went up, I didn’t realize and it turned out to be more expensive that I’d like to pay, especially compared to other places, but Ms.Lisa and Mr. Manny are great with my son, helping him stay focused on the mat. My son has enjoyed the time when on the mat and felt proud when earning a belt and showing his skills. I do wish they did shorter sessions, 6 months is a long time for an activity for a 3/4 year old kid, maybe offering 6 or 8 week sessions would have been more ideal.
We first discovered Action Karate at a local event. They were kind and got our kids motivated very quickly. Their structure promotes discipline, routine, and consistency.I started training in the adult classes as well. It is rigorous and gets better use out of the hour than any gym would.Definitely recommend to anyone trying to get in shape, learn discipline, or tiring out the kids.
From the very first day, I knew I would love this place. All of the instructors make sure to emphasize focus, attention and maintaining discipline. Not only that, but they also make sure to keep it fun with other activities that the whole family can participate in as well. When my son loses his focus, they quickly and respectfully get him back on track. My name is Christine and I have a 18 year old son Christopher who has Down syndrome.We joined action karate to help Christopher get fit , to focus and make friends . But we are getting so much more 
I can’t say enough of the instructor’s how patient they are with him and they adapt anything that Christopher might have a little problem with . When we started at Action Karate in November it was just to get my son out of his room and off the gaming system. His grades are excellent in school and he’s managed to get his orange belt. I see he’s enjoying his sessions and being really social with his fellow classmates.
I High recommend Action Karate Voorhees to all families! Miss.Lisa, and Mr.Manny are exceptional with the kid, and help support the children in areas where they are struggling in, especially when it comes to discipline, focus, and self confidence. All 3 of my kids, and husband are in karate and are always looking forward to every single class. Miss Lisa, and Mr.Manny are also very supportive to families and are great with communication, and understanding. You won’t regret it!!
My kids have been in karate action for a little over a month. They love it here. I would recommend this place to any one. You will love it once you start I have seen it with my kids. It’s really good exercise discipline and builds your confidence. Miss Lissa has been so welcoming since the day my family has started. Mr.Manny is a great instructor and so patient with all ages. Mr.Brandon has been wonderful with my son when he first started and did a private lesson with him. He also helps with Mr.Manny in classes as well. My kids love it here. We will be staying here for a long time.
I am thoroughly impressed with our experience at Action Karate since my son started several months ago. Mr Manny and Ms Lisa are always open and transparent with objectives, professional, and consistent with the children. When we initially signed up for this, I felt it was going to be just another “activity” my son wanted to do, but it’s so much more. The pride he displays on his face when he is praised by the instructors or achieves new milestones is priceless. But I also appreciate how they set the expectation of good behavior and performance, and do not waiver from it. I’ve seen such growth in my son since we started!
My son joined action karate in December . Initially , he was hesitant. We are 4 months in and he has grown to love the classes but also the attention and support from Mr Manny and Miss Lisa. Miss Lisa and Mr. Manny are great martial artist and leaders. I’m excited to see them bring the benefits of martial art to their students in the Vorhees community. They are committed to their students growth and the goals of their families.
We won 3 free classes to give karate a try. I was unsure how my daughter would like it. But after the 2nd class she told me she loved it. Miss Lisa and Mr. Manny made her feel comfortable and was patient with her from the beginning. For the past couple years Gemma has struggled in school with her confidence, attention, and education. We have had help from her teachers but we felt something was missing. After only a couple months of doing karate her teachers told me they saw a difference in her. She was more confident in herself and kept trying at the hard problems. Her attention in class was more under control. And they told me they honestly believed the karate has helped her. She even tried her first tournament and won 2nd place from all her hard work. Seeing her face light up with happiness and Mr. Manny and Miss Lisa cheering her on, she came over to me and finally said the words I prayed for her to say one day, “mom I am proud of myself”. This place has helped our daughter in many ways. The instructors are amazing and even the families that attend have been great with her. She has made new friends and continues to believe in herself. A parent can’t ask for anything better than that!
Action Karate has become a big part of my life. It has become like another family for me. It makes me want to be better for my parents and in school. I have much more motivation, and have Action Karate is a big part of my life now.
We entered a raffle won 2 free weeks worth of classes for our daughter. We didn’t think she would like it but thought we would try it because Karate is all about self discipline, structure, and self confidence and that’s what we want for our child. Boy was i wrong! Mr Manny and Miss Lisa make class fun! It’s all she could (and still does) talk about! She loves coming to class and meeting new friends and she even invited her friends to come and they also joined class with her. Both instructors are amazing and are always there to help with anything. Both instructors care about every child that steps on the mat. Always available to talk about progress and to help wherever they are needed. Not to mention, they are all about getting the parents involved. Anytime someone asks me what activities my child does i recommend Action Karate!
Our son Frankie is very shy. Since September he has come such a long way breaking out of his shell. He is always ready for the next move. He is starting to volunteer in class. We couldn’t thank Mr. Manny and Miss Lisa enough for not just in the dojo but it shows when he is in school also. Miss Kelly and Mr. Keane are amazing! The classes were engaging and fun and both instructors offered encouragement to our daughter throughout her classes. We loved that a positive attitude, respect, and team building skills were emphasized. This is a great place for kids due to the excellent instructors and the values they convey.
I don't write reviews often, but I felt that this one needed to be shared. My story begins over at once upon a child in Moorestown, NJ. My son and I were going to purchase some clothes and saw a man standing outside the store with a spinning wheel. We stopped and he introduced himself and said he was from Action Karate. My son has never shown an interesting karate but he has experience in several other sports and activities.The gentleman asked us to spin the wheel and my son won 2 weeks free of karate class. We went home that day and I completely forgot about it. About a week and a half later I was speaking to my mom, and mentioned that I'd like to get him in to try the class.Our first visit, was not a good one. My son was belligerent to Miss Lisa, he was not respectful, he was unwilling to try and participate, and truthfully I was utterly embarrassed. Miss Lisa took me aside and said he needs to be here. She said sometimes it's very tough but you need to be the one to make him come to class and not allow him to quit.I agreed that I would push him and bring him for at least the first 2 weeks. It was tough. My son did not want to go, he would cry and tell me if he just never spun that wheel his life would be better and going on and on and on. Keep in mind this child is seven lol.After the first 2 weeks, even though he was still a little resistant, I decided to sign him up and make the commitment. After a few more weeks, he started to fall into line, became much more respectful, increased his focus, increase his attentiveness, increasing his grit and perseverance, and his overall mental and physical health.We started his classes at the end of August, and by November he was promoted to yellow belt. Just recently, he was invited to be a part of the Black belt leadership program to assist other students with their form during combinations and exercises. This added responsibility has brought great joy and excitement to my son.We have also seen huge positive changes in him at home and in school. He's been participating more, listening and focusing better, persevering through problems that he has difficulty with and also even helping his peers in areas that they struggle.For me and my son, this is been a life-changing experience. This is not just a sport or an activity. This is a lifestyle. I can't wait to see my son continue to progress at this wonderful facility.Miss Lisa and Mr. Manny are absolutely phenomenal with the children, the classes are thorough and challenging for everyone. They are open to feedback constantly, and are always willing to make changes as needed to improve the program for the children.I think this will be one of the best decisions I've ever made for my son. I also think this will end up being one of his largest accomplishments in life. He is committed to getting his black belt. He is committed to karate. I was not very familiar with martial arts, but the teachers at action karate came to my daughter’s preschool and she loved the experience and asked to try it. From the very beginning, Miss Lisa and Mr Manny have been so patient, kind, and supportive. Not only are they wonderful teachers, but it’s very obvious that they are also fantastic people who truly care. My daughter can be rather unsure of herself when in unfamiliar situations, but she leaves karate every time telling me how proud that she is of herself for going out of her comfort zone. Action Karate has really helped my daughter hone in on her grit, listening skills, and ability to follow rules and I am so grateful that we gave it a chance!
