My daughter has been a part of Action Karate Telford since August 2023. Her father and I were very nervous and hesitant because she is only 3, Autistic and has limited vocabulary . The instructors were very welcoming, pleasant and patient with our daughter. Our daughter looks forward to going to karate and really benefits from the routine and discipline Action Karate provides. My daughter does not speak much but when she is greeted by the instructors with a fist pound and a “ How are you feeling today?!” Her smile says it all. Thank you Action Karate Telford for making our daughter part of the family.

Action Karate Telford is everything you would hope it would be. Helpful, motivating and knowledgeable instructors lead the way. My son started out in the Ninja program and will be testing for his junior black belt in June of ‘24. As an adult I joined the adult program in January 2021 less then 2 months out of spinal fusion surgery and I earned my black belt in June ‘23. It was a great alternative to physical therapy which I was in for 2 years leading up to surgery. Overall a great family, friendly atmosphere with great people!!! Highly recommended!!!

If you are looking for a family centered, warm and inviting martial arts experience, look no further! Action Karate Telford has been a part of my life for many years. I trained for my first degree black belt and achieved it several years ago. After taking a couple of years off, I decided to come back and train for my second degree black belt. I was welcomed with open arms by both old and new friends. The Jr. members that I watched in classes years ago when they were in elementary and middle school are now first, second and third degree black belts and are integral leaders and educators on the mat. Come out to Action Karate Telford and you will find that you will not only strengthen your body but also your mind and spirit and build friendships that will last years to come.

I can not say enough good things about Action Karate Telford!We have been attending for almost a year, and it has made such a difference in our lives. It started with my middle son, who has Autism and ADHD. The instructors are patient and willing to work with anyone. They genuinely care about every student who walks thru the door. They are willing to work with home and school to help tackle any issue as a team.I take adult classes, and they have been life changing! It's a great workout paired with a tremendous sense of camaraderie. Everyone is met with respect and encouragement regardless of where they are on their martial arts journey. Take the class! You won't regret it!Across all the classes is a tremendous sense of community. I never expected that from a dojo. My son has autism and we wanted to find an activity for him to participate in and look forward to--we found it here. Tried a few other sports/activities but he wasn't really paid attention or helped along the way. My name is Carter, I’m going for my JR black belt soon. I joined AKT when Covid happened, right away I knew I wanted to do karate. I knew I wanted to go for my black belt when I joined black belt leadership! AKT has helped me with my self discipline & perseverance, like doing my chores without being told. Another example would be with my trumpet. If I would have given up I wouldn’t have made spring band. My favorite thing about going to karate is the atmosphere! Everyone is friendly and nice, the instructors are very helpful.

My son started at Action Karate Telford when he was 7 and worked his way all the way to through the jr program earning his jr black belt. That was quite the accomplishment for him, and he gained more confidence then he previously had. After that he asked me to join karate and work towards getting our first degree black belt together. Now I am taking classes and am a certified part time instructor and work events and birthday parties. Action is a big part of our lives and we are so happy to have made the friends we have and to call the karate school a second home.

What is the style of martial arts that you teach?

At our classes, you will be able to learn traditional karate and its techniques, which include some fitness-based exercises.

When can I attend karate classes at Action Karate?

Although each of our locations offers a different schedule, you can join us for your training sessions six days a week during our flexible time slots. This means we can accommodate your time schedule as and when you need it.

What should I wear to my first training session?

When you join us for your first karate training session, you should simply wear loose and comfortable clothing that you can move around in. What’s more is that once you join, you will receive a uniform that is included in the $49 introductory special.
