R's Action FamilyOur son started at Action Karate Souderton (now Telford) in 2012 as a 7 year old with support from his communities, both Down Syndrome and school, all welcoming him but not quite sure who he was being shy and more often sat to the side and watched others act. In the Action group, we found a welcoming, engaging and thoroughly non-judgemental group, embracing him for all his strengths.Now a 19 year old, through each step of his Action learning and promotion he has continued to feel included, not just as a member of a karate group but as someone who is known, liked and appreciated for who he really is. My son started at Action Karate Telford when he was 6 years old. Not only does he love attending class, we also see him taking the lessons he learns in class and applying them at home and in school. My 5 year old daughter has been going to Action Karate in Telford since March. It is the first activity that she has fully enjoyed and not gotten bored with. She is always excited to attend class. I love AK Telford! I won a birthday party and used it for my 3yr old son.... I signed him up for twice weekly lesson and am SO impressed at how much attention my toddler gets as he has minimal focus (he is a toddler). He is now 3yrs 2 months old and can recite 1/2 of his kada which is so cool to hear and see. I love the dedication this specific location (TELFORD) has for special needs individuals! They understand my son has a medical diagnosis and cater to his needs!
Action Karate in Telford has had such an impact in my daughter’s life. In less than a year, she’s grown in strength, endurance, and karate skills, but her character has grown too. I’ve seen her persevere and go to class after a long day and do her best despite being tired. She has a drive and determination to get that black belt one day! My son Cayden joined in April to help him with his ADHD and build confidence. From day one the staff have been nothing but supportive and understanding of his needs and have gone above and beyond to make him feel special and confident in every class. I never thought we would find an activity that Cayden would enjoy so much but he looks forward to going every week and works hard to achieve the next stripe and belt. My son is slow to warm up and does not adapt well to change but Mrs. Cheri and Mr. Angelo made sure to work with him one on one until he felt comfortable. You can see the passion they both have for their jobs and how much they love helping kids achieve their goals. Everyone that works there is incredible and the program is perfect for all ages! We are so thankful we found Action Karate in Telford!
Parking lot is too small causing patrons to take up residential street parking. This takes away parking for people who live on the block. This happens most nights of the week. The neighbors end up being displaced.
My son wasn’t a fan of football, baseball, etc so we signed him up for karate. The instructors/karate family at AKT are amazing! They’ve helped my son build his self confidence, while teaching him self discipline, and of course the karate skills to kick a little butt. My daughter has been a part of Action Karate Telford since August 2023. Her father and I were very nervous and hesitant because she is only 3, Autistic and has limited vocabulary . Action Karate Telford is everything you would hope it would be. Helpful, motivating and knowledgeable instructors lead the way. My son started out in the Ninja program and will be testing for his junior black belt in June of ‘24. As an adult I joined the adult program in January 2021 less then 2 months out of spinal fusion surgery and I earned my black belt in June ‘23. It was a great alternative to physical therapy which I was in for 2 years leading up to surgery. Overall a great family, friendly atmosphere with great people!!! Highly recommended!!!

I trained for my first degree black belt and achieved it several years ago. After taking a couple of years off, I decided to come back and train for my second degree black belt. I was welcomed with open arms by both old and new friends. The Jr. members that I watched in classes years ago when they were in elementary and middle school are now first, second and third degree black belts and are integral leaders and educators on the mat. AKT is absolutely amazing! As a sports coach of many years, I know with any sport or discipline you get out what you put in. I can not say enough good things about Action Karate Telford!We have been attending for almost a year, and it has made such a difference in our lives. It started with my middle son, who has Autism and ADHD. The instructors are patient and willing to work with anyone. They genuinely care about every student who walks thru the door. They are willing to work with home and school to help tackle any issue as a team.I take adult classes, and they have been life changing! My son has autism and we wanted to find an activity for him to participate in and look forward to--we found it here. Tried a few other sports/activities but he wasn't really paid attention or helped along the way. But here it is different.All the instructors are very patient with my son and really take the time to help him learn and grow. I am so happy with this place, definitely recommend!!!!
My name is Carter, I’m going for my JR black belt soon. I joined AKT when Covid happened, right away I knew I wanted to do karate. I knew I wanted to go for my black belt when I joined black belt leadership! AKT has helped me with my self discipline & perseverance, like doing my chores without being told. Another example would be with my trumpet. If I would have given up I wouldn’t have made spring band. My favorite thing about going to karate is the atmosphere! Everyone is friendly and nice, the instructors are very helpful.

My son started at Action Karate Telford when he was 7 and worked his way all the way to through the jr program earning his jr black belt. That was quite the accomplishment for him, and he gained more confidence then he previously had. After that he asked me to join karate and work towards getting our first degree black belt together. Now I am taking classes and am a certified part time instructor and work events and birthday parties. Action is a big part of our lives and we are so happy to have made the friends we have and to call the karate school a second home.

At our classes, you will be able to learn traditional karate and its
techniques, which include some fitness-based exercises.
Although each of our locations offers a different schedule, you can join us for your training sessions six days a week during our flexible time slots. This means we can accommodate your time schedule as and when you need it.
When you join us for your first karate training session, you should simply wear loose and comfortable clothing that you can move around in. What’s more is that once you join, you will receive a uniform that is included in the $49 introductory special.
Our karate classes are perfect for all individuals of varying skill levels and who fall into practically any age group. We have students from as young as three and as old as 103, making this one of the most versatile ways to help you achieve your health and fitness goals as well as learning important life skills that will benefit you immensely in all areas of your life.
