My daughter started at Action Mainline when she was 16, she never really enjoyed any activity she had to leave the house for so this was just something to try. 3 years and several belts later she is now training towards her black belt and couldn't be happier!
My son started his martial arts journey at Action Main Line more than two years ago. We have seen a transformation in his confidence and skills. He definitely has times were he has struggled and wanted to quit. However, he has developed the grit to persevere through his struggles. He will be taking his black belt test this fall. By earning his black belt, this will signify his determination to be the best version of himself as a person and martial artist.
Action Karate has been a great place for my daughter! She is10 years old. She joined to work on confidence and responsibility and has grown a ton in those areas in the past almost 2 years. She is also a member of the SWAT team which gives her the chance to work with the younger students at Action. The instructors belief in her abilities and the support they provide gives her the confidence to do this and she loves it so much! She hopes to be an instructor herself one day. They are extremely eager to check in on your child and make sure they are having the best possible experience. They make the classes so fun for the kids. Everyone we have met has been super kind, caring, and patient. It is clear to see how much the teachers enjoy their job. They are always upbeat and committed to the success of your child. We accidentally showed up to a wrong class time and Mr. Freed made sure my son still was able to fulfill his lesson. He went above and beyond for him as he does with all of the students. My daughter is very shy and has social anxiety, I am glad I brought her here for trial classes and it didn’t take long for me to enroll her as a regular student, her instructors remember all the students name and know their strengths and weakness, she opened up in few weeks and loves to come here, she bonded with the class and teachers, it definitely helped her to grow socially and build confidence.

Our journey with Action Karate Main Line started when my son was six, and now, almost four years later, we're still loyal members. It's become a vital part of our lives for good reason. The instructors and assistants are incredibly dedicated and enthusiastic. My kiddo building confidence here! Whenever he is trying hard he will be noticed and encouraged. And each session is ending with a story telling the importance of persistence and hard workng which is my favorite part as well.Every three months there are belts level ups if trying hard. Also, there are lots of other special programs like teaching little kids, helping on birthday parties and tournaments to get my kids having more fun on Karate.
My son absolutely LOVES Action Karate Main Line.He is so focused and determined in class and his confidence has increased so much! The staff is very supportive and positive! Our son started with Action Karate Main Line in the summer of 2020 with their zoom classes. He has always been a well behaved kid at home, school, and in social settings. He was always a good listener and kind to his peers. We enrolled him in martial arts because he wasn't a stereotypical boy, meaning that he was very passive, not aggressive at all, and wasn't into rough play like many other boys his age. Our goal for him was to learn to be more assertive and learn to say no to his peers if he didn't agree with something or didn't want to do something everyone else wanted to do. After a few months, the zoom classes weren't working for us, so we took a little break but then joined the in person classes. Now it's been almost 4 years and he is training for his black belt. It has been a long journey and dedication for the whole family for him to attend at least two classes a week and making up missed classes while still doing his other after school activities. In these past few years, he has really come out of his shell, has become more social and more confident in all types of settings. He is more assertive now and is able to express his feelings and concerns very easily when he doesn't agree with something. He also warms up to new people in new settings quicker than he used to because his martial arts training has really taught him to become more confident in himself. The action karate instructors have been very supportive and caring throughout his martial arts journey. They make sure you stay on track and make themselves available for extra help and classes if your child falls behind and needs to catch up.
We just started Action Karate not too long ago but my daughter is very picky about her martial arts studios. We lived in another state prior to this and she fell in love with her studio there. When we moved to the Philly suburbs she wanted a studio similar to the one we went to in Maryland. Suffice to say this is our 3rd studio that we tried out and the third time was the charm. Our daughter loves this studio and the teachers have truly been fantastic. My daughter especially loves Ms. Deja & Ms. Reya they have been incredibly accommodating and welcoming. Highly recommend this martial arts studio if you’re looking to help build your child’s self confidence and I think it’s incredibly important to give our kids the tools on how to better protect themselves and they do a fantastic job here!
We decided to start our once shy daughter in karate to boost her confidence. This was the best decision we’ve made as parents. Our now 8-year old is in junior blackbelt leadership and has competed in numerous karate tournaments. She absolutely loves it. The instructors at AK Main Line are incredible human beings and really take instruction to the next level. I highly recommend! It teaches them grit, perseverance, mental toughness, and so many other qualities.
We are on our third month at Action Karate and we love it here! The teachers go out of their way to connect with each student to make them feel their best during each class. They make it a fun experience for the kids in a healthy, competitive way that really encourages the students to work hard to achieve their goals. My son walks out of class with a confidence I have never seen before which I am forever thankful for. Action Karate is a great experience for my daughter and our family. They learn self-discipline, focus, and grit which are key traits to building confidence and a strong work ethic in life. The instructors put their hearts into teaching and training. Sometimes class sizes are a little large where kids distract each other because the instructors can’t reach them all, but overall a great experience. Thank you so much Action Karate Main Line! My son is a bright boy but required a lot of redirecting. We were struggling how to channel his energy and placed in him karate when he was 4. Over just few years, he has shown amazing improvement in maturity, focus and agility. I find myself also learning to respond better as a parent, using lessons and tools they've taught in action karate. They relate amazing to kids. Also had a birthday party there and HUGE shout out to the team who ran it. Cannot recommend them enough!

We have been very impressed with the staff at Action Karate Main Line. These classes are no joke, these kids are WORKING. The instructors take a lot of time to make sure the kids are learning the moves and doing them safely. My child has gotten so much stronger since she started this summer! I definitely recommend.

Action Karate Main Line changed my life! Prior to my enrollment, I was not exercising at all and did not have the best eating habits. Action Karate Main Line is not just a karate program, it is a way to develop healthy habits little by little, every day! My daily activities have grown to include: planks every morning, hydrating every morning, and a healthy dose of discipline. I would highly recommend! If you are on the fence, just go for it. Action Karate Main Line has been a great experience. My son started a couple years ago and now I train there also. It is a wonderful community and everyone is extremely positive. The Karate instruction is excellent, but it is also all about personal growth for each student. No matter what your level, the idea is to always look for ways to get better. The instructors take time to really know every student so they can find their strengths and also areas for growth. The follow up and communication about your child is well beyond what others offer. My son started out working on areas such as focus and self discipline while learning the basics of Karate. Now, we are both training and working to become instructors. (This will be my son's first job, so he is excited to see it through) Action Karate gave us an area of growth we never would have imagined just a couple years ago.

My son joined Action Karate about 6 months ago, he was a little shy when he first started but as he got into a weekly schedule he became more comfortable and confident. He’s truly enjoying his classes and is progressing very quickly. He’s already an orange belt ☺️☺️. As a parent I love the environment along with the teachers. They take their time with the kids and if any child is struggling they’ll assist along the way.
We’ve been at action karate mainline for a little over a year now and it’s been great. I love that I can choose the classes each week and I’m not tied into a particular day or time. I have 2 kids in the ninja class and I ended up joining the adult class. Karate has definitely increased confidence in my 5 year old and has been a good lesson in focus for my 6 year old. The adult class has been a great way to work out and have some “me time”. All the instructors are amazing!

At our classes, you will be able to learn traditional karate and its
techniques, which include some fitness-based exercises.
Although each of our locations offers a different schedule, you can join us for your training sessions six days a week during our flexible time slots. This means we can accommodate your time schedule as and when you need it.
When you join us for your first karate training session, you should simply wear loose and comfortable clothing that you can move around in. What’s more is that once you join, you will receive a uniform that is included in the $49 introductory special.
Our karate classes are perfect for all individuals of varying skill levels and who fall into practically any age group. We have students from as young as three and as old as 103, making this one of the most versatile ways to help you achieve your health and fitness goals as well as learning important life skills that will benefit you immensely in all areas of your life.
