This is place great. My kids love coming and the can't wait to see the instructors. Each day is something different so the kids keep learning new skills.

My two kids have been going here for over a year and they love it! The instructors are amazing and so patient with the kids! I would highly reccomend bringing your children if they are remotely interested in karate. It is not just about the sport and learning self defense. The life skills they will walk away with are invaluable.

We have been coming here for over 3 years, and our son refuses to consider stopping. When given the opportunity to “skip” a day, he does not want to. As a 10 year old, he considers karate a part of his life.Coming to AKDH has helped build our son’s confidence, maintain his physical fitness, learn self defense technique, and above all, he’s grown in character as a young person.The staff and ownership are inclusive, and they treat the members as family. Highly recommended!

We love Love Action Karate Drexel Hill, my daughter is coming up on her 6th year. She started as a timid child with no self confidence & hardly any friends. She was being bullied. She is now a Jr. Blackbelt & she is currently working toward her Senior Blackbelt! She has made many friends at this school & on her own & her confidence is much better. Everyone is like a big family here! The family that runs this school is amazing, you'd have to see for yourself!

Our Daughter has been attending AK-DH for over 3yrs now and our experience has been nothing but incredible. The instructors are great with the students, especially the kids. The sense of community and motivation it provides is overwhelming. The school is not just teaching karate, but values. Respect for others and yourself, self discipline and drive, while being a part of society is a key message. On the fence?.. come give them a try.

My children love Action Karate Drexel Hill! My 9-year old son started at this location almost 2 years ago and we are so proud of his progression. He enjoys it so much he’s almost always one of the last children off the mat. My 5-year old daughter was so moved by her brother’s participation and progress that she begged to join as well and now she’s in their Ninjas class and proudly just earned her first stripe!

Where do I even begin?? Let's start at the beginning! My son has been coming to this karate academy for about 4 years. We love it here. From the classes, to the private talks and chats to the GREAT extra events they host for the children and families together. I enjoy the teachings they have helped dad and I instill into our son! If your values and views aline with AKs mission, this is the place for your family as well!Here we are 4 years in, a lot of sweat and grit later, we are still going strong and don't plan on stopping any time soon. AK is apart of our family and definitely treat us as such! Even Dad and I have joined the mat a few times and learned valuable defenses.

Our daughter has been here for a few months. It's a very positive environment, and it's great to see all the instructors be so encouraging of every child. This trickles down, and I notice how the kids work to build each other up and encourage one another. We are happy to have this space for our child!

My daughter who has autism started here at age 7. They are kind, patient, and supportive, and they have built her confidence to a whole new level as a junior black belt at age 11. We love Ms. Andrea and Trooper and all the instructors who support their wonderful center.

UPDATED! I just wanted to take time to update my review to 5/5 stars!!This Karate class is a fun activity for kids that enhances confidence and listening skills. My daughter loves it and is actually following directions better. My initial review (Stated Below) was written when management wasn’t flexible or showed any concern during a difficult time when I was unable to bring my child to Karate. I just wish they showed more concern and yes I understand “it’s a business” but life happens. I still believe they should be more understanding in certain situations.(Previous Review) I just want to warn potential parents who are thinking about this karate class. Please be aware that you will be signing a contract for a YEAR and will be unable to withdrawal your child despite life circumstances. Due to personal reasons including a death of a love one, heath reasons and not working currently I have not been able to take my child to karate. I did share this info with administration and it seemed like they didn’t care. Their response was “it’s a contract” no condolences or anything. No concerns for my child well being either. They don’t care if you show up as long as they get paid!! I do understand it’s a “contract” but life happens and it’s not in my control. So yes just be prepare and make sure nothing happens to you for a year while enrolled. P.S - They only told me to call when it came to billing issues due to credit information changes. However, when I shared with them the reasons to why my child was absent they never seemed concerned. They just said it’s a contract. I just don’t want anyone else to go through this kind of treatment. I guess my child will be back whenever things get better and I’m able to get my child there. For now keep enjoying the free money. Good for you. Too bad for me I guess smh

I want to say how impressed I am with Drexel hill AK.The environment soon as you walked in door was a positive one,the encouragement,attention,respect given to every one that walked through the door was amazing.The instructors were very knowledgeable,very detail oriented,their passion for teaching came across so much.each class offered is taught with professionalism,respect for all ages.Last but definitely not least,having met and conversed with one of the owners Andrea gronski.I completely understand why the staff is the way they are and where the environment that is created comes from.Thank you Drexel hill action karate.

This business is one of the best in its area. It has awesome classes for any age, young and old. It’s run by a local and super sweet family. The instructors are so helpful, work efficiently, and are so amazing with everyone. If I could recommend something to get your kids started in, or a hobby to start as an adult yourself, it would be this.

We love bringing our 7 year old son here for classes. Yesterday they had a board breaking event that was awesome and in the Spring we attended a regional tournament at a nearby school.Plus hand written notes praising our son on how he's performing. Our son was so happy when he read the hand written note from. Ms Andrea he was beaming full of pride ear to ear Love it 🥋

Both of my kids started their journey with Action Karate a little over three years ago. We originally enrolled them in karate to help one with focus and the other with discipline. Over the years Ms. Andrea and the rest of the team have worked with each kid to achieve their individual goals and needs. It's been wonderful to watch both kids achieve their goals while working on life skills that are also taught. This school is much more than just karate. They cover everything from setting/achieving goals, being kind to others and never giving up. We are so thankful that we found Ms. Andrea, Trooper and their team.

My son started karate at the end of 2018. In the beginning he didn’t know what was going on and was not focused. It’s been about three years and he is a different person. His overall discipline and behavior have changed. His overall attitude in karate and the knowledge of martial arts has changed. Instructors are great and they always work with the families. When my son needed a break from karate they didn’t have a problem letting him have one. He was happily welcomed back when he finished taking one. Any questions I have they respond very quickly and always have useful tips and information. Overall is a very great place for karate. They offer adult karate as well.

What is the style of martial arts that you teach?

At our classes, you will be able to learn traditional karate and its techniques, which include some fitness-based exercises.

Although each of our locations offers a different schedule, you can join us for your training sessions six days a week during our flexible time slots. This means we can accommodate your time schedule as and when you need it.

When you join us for your first karate training session, you should simply wear loose and comfortable clothing that you can move around in. What’s more is that once you join, you will receive a uniform that is included in the $49 introductory special.

Our karate classes are perfect for all individuals of varying skill levels and who fall into practically any age group. We have students from as young as three and as old as 103, making this one of the most versatile ways to help you achieve your health and fitness goals as well as learning important life skills that will benefit you immensely in all areas of your life.
